Vikram Seth (pronounced sayt), natural June 20, 1952 is an Indian novelist and poet.

Background
Seth was born & raised around Kolkata. His father Prem was the shoe company executive. His mother, Leila, was the foremost woman judge on the Delhi High Court when well as a foremost woman to turn into Chief Justice of a provincial Supreme court.
